A neglected warehouse on a commercial strip gets a new life as a cafe and creative co-working space.
With a large site and small budget, it was always going to be an immense challenge to achieve a good design outcome. The client also expressed a desire for both bespoke and eco-conscious design.
We set about crafting a greenhouse/conservatory aesthetic that sought to use low-cost materials and finishes in ways that would achieve an interesting result. Polycarbonate sheeting, reclaimed timber, structural plywood, and concrete reo-mesh are all used.
